Cardo have re-imagined their best selling Freecom range, further asserting themselves as one of the most dominant names in motorcycle intercom systems. This newly designed Freecom 1+ motorcycle intercom system is the ideal communication system for solo riders and those looking for a rider to pillion communication system too.
The Cardo Freecom 1+ system is small in its dimensions and weighs just 34g, making it extremely lightweight and hardly noticeable when wearing your helmet. The system is aerodynamically designed to limit wind resistance when the system is added to your helmet; at only 16mm thick, the Freecom 1+ allows air to gently pass the system without interference. This Freecom system is designed to be used as either a solo rider intercom or as a short range, rider to pillion intercom system, allowing you to communicate with your pillion when you are enjoying a ride together. The system is available as a either a Solo or Duo set, depending on your preference. A Duo kit is ideal for those looking for a rider to pillion intercom system and include two units that are pre-paired and ready for the road.
With full phone connectivity, you can listen to music when out on the road with the Freecom 1+ system, whether listening to music stored on your phone or over a music streaming service. The advanced processor within this motorcycle communication system, coupled with 40mm profile speakers, allows for crisp and clear audio and a fully immersive sound within your helmet. An automatic volume system within the Freecom 1+ adjusts the volume of your music based on the volume of ambient noise outside of the helmet, meaning you needn’t be struggling to hear your music at full speed or going deaf when sat at traffic lights either. You can even share your playlist or your favourite radio station with your pillion so that you can enjoy your Freecom 1+ experience together. The universal connectivity feature of this intercom system allows you to connect with other units even if they aren’t Cardo intercom systems, meaning no one is left out of the conversation.
One huge benefit of motorcycle communication systems is the ability to be contactable when out on the road. The Cardo Freecom 1+ system allows you to pair with your smartphone via Bluetooth 4.1 connectivity and allows you to answer calls, make calls and manually control the volume of your calls or music. Answering calls can be done with a simple button press on your Freecom 1+ unit or through Cardo VOX technology which allows you to answer calls by the sound of your voice. This voice capability is only applicable if your smartphone is capable of voice activation and commands.
There’s nothing worse than realising you’ve forgotten to charge your communication system before a big ride out; thanks to the newly developed Freecom 1+, if your motorcycle features a 12V USB socket or if you have a spare power bank, you can charge the system while you ride, meaning you need never be low on battery again. If fiddling with buttons isn’t your thing, you can control your new Freecom system front your smartphone; simply link your system to your phone with the Cardo Connect and control the headset with your phone! We can often find ourselves caught out in a sudden downpour when out on our bikes, but you don’t have to worry about the Freecom 1+ system becoming damaged in these conditions; the system is IP67 certified as waterproof and dustproof meaning that your new Cardo comm system is willing to ride in whatever conditions you are, both on and off the road.
Available as Solo set or Duo set.
