The Sena 5R features the premium Bluetooth 5.1 functionality for the ultimate in Bluetooth connectivity. This helps create a stronger connection between your new Sena 5R system and your Bluetooth compatible devices such as your smartphone or GPS device. Thanks to Bluetooth 5.1’s strong connections, the clarity of conversation between you and your riding partner is much clearer, with clear, concise audio at all times, with two-way intercom capability up to 0.4 miles when riding in optimum terrain and conditions.

Sena’s Advanced Noise Control feature automatically changes the volume of the audio you are experiencing in line with ambient noise outside of the helmet. This useful feature ensures that you don’t need to turn the music up while riding at speed or turn it down when sat at traffic lights as the Advanced Noise Control feature will take care of this automatically, adjusting the volume as you ride.

This Sena communication system includes their Audio Multitasking feature, which allows for multiple audio files to be working in unison with one another. This allows you to be using your new Sena comm system to listen to music while receiving navigational instruction from your smartphone as well as communicating with your riding partner all at the same time!

Operating the Sena 5R is simple, thanks to an easy to locate three button system found on the Sena intercom system. The three buttons can be pressed singularly or in combinations, and can be used for navigating your new Sena motorcycle intercom, from cycling through your speed dial to adjusting the volume of the music or GPS instructions. Building upon the popularity of the Sena 5S intercom system, the Sena 5R features an LCD display, which makes a huge difference to the usability of this motorcycle intercom. The LCD screen allows the user to easily make changes to their Bluetooth motorcycle intercom with visual cues for confirmations, letting the user perfectly configure the Sena 5R intercom system before departing on their journey.

Of course, you needn’t even take your hands off the handlebars, thanks to the inclusion of the new Voice Command functionality included with the 5R. If remembering the different combinations of button presses is proving difficult, the voice command capability can take care of many of the functions of your new Sena 5R without ever having to take your hands off the handlebars. Plus, the Sena 5R system supports voice commands in multiple languages including English, French German, Italian and more! All Sena intercom systems can be controlled via the Sena app for your smartphone, which allows you to shuffle riders, set music stations, make calls and more, all from your smartphone.

With an operating temperature of between -10°C and 55°C and a talk time of up to sixteen hours, the Sena 5R intercom system is ready to tackle the roads in both summer and winter and can easily be charged with the micro USB charge from a flat battery to full battery in just 2 ½ hours.
