Designed specifically for Shoei NXR2 helmets, the Sena SRL-Mesh Bluetooth and Mesh communication system is a custom fit communication system that features Sena’s innovative three-button design, along with a host of great features to make your time on the road more enjoyable. The custom design of the Sena SRL-Mesh system fits specifically to the Shoei NXR 2 helmet and brings the benefits of Bluetooth and Mesh intercom functionality to Shoei's best selling helmet.

The Bluetooth 5 capability makes for a strong connection between your mobile devices for clear, concise communication, whether through your smartphone, your satellite navigation system or other compatible Bluetooth device. The dual Bluetooth chips allows for an intercom connection with up to 4 riders, so no rider gets left out of the party, ensuring that your riding group all get to share in the experience, wherever the destination might be.

However, the party piece of the Sena SRL-Mesh is the new Mesh functionality. This exciting connection is described as ‘self-healing’, adapting to suit the needs of the riders and helping to solve some issues that have plagued Bluetooth communication units. The beauty of Adaptive Mesh Networking means that each rider is continuously linked to one another, rather than in the chain-like fashion of Bluetooth systems. The benefit of this is that if one rider leaves the group, the communication between the other riders within the group isn’t broken as is the case with some Bluetooth connections.

What’s more, if the rider who left the party re-joins later down the line, the Adaptive Mesh technology automatically reconnects them back into the party without having to stop and reconnect the devices. Plus, the Mesh functionality is always changing to improve connectivity to help optimise the strength of the connection for the clearest conversations.

The Adaptive Mesh feature also allows for selective group settings. You can connect with a virtually limitless amount of Sena Mesh Intercom users in Open Mesh function, or a condensed 24 riders in group mesh function. Plus, if you’re riding in a pack of six or more, the Sena SRL Mesh system’s connection distance increases to 5 miles in optimal terrain.

Furthermore, the Sena SRL-Mesh belongs to the elite family of Sena Communication Systems that incorporate the premium audio of Harmon Kardon into their helmets. Ranking highly among audiophiles everywhere, the incorporation of Harmon Kardon sound into your helmet is a fantastic experience, with crystal clear audio for your phone conversations, GPS instructions and your favourite music.

This Sena communication system includes their Audio Multitasking feature, which allows for multiple audio files to be working in unison with one another. This allows you to be using your new Sena comm system to listen to music while receiving navigational instruction from your smartphone as well as communicating with your riding partners all at the same time! There is also the inclusion of an FM radio with the Sena SRL, allowing you to tune in to local radio station when out on your travels to receive local traffic updates, news and more. This Sena comm system has a 10 preset station memory, allowing you to save your favourite FM radio stations and choose between them with ease.

A music sharing feature allows a fellow member riding party to experience your favourite songs while on the go. Choose the rider in your party you want to share the music with, tune in and rock out! Whether it’s Lionel Ritchie or Lynyrd Skynyrd, the Sena SRL-Mesh system lets you share your music favourites and experience a different way of riding. The slim profile audio speakers are clear in their audio capabilities without compromising the fit or comfort of your new Shoei helmet. Sena’s Advanced Noise Control feature automatically changes the volume of the audio you are experiencing in line with ambient noise outside of the helmet. This useful feature ensures that you don’t need to turn the music up while riding at speed or turn it down when sat at traffic lights as the Advanced Noise Control feature will take care of this automatically, adjusting the volume as you ride.

Operating the Sena system is easy, thanks to the simple three button design. These large buttons are easy to find on the side of the helmet, with a raised centre button that allows you to easily distinguish between the buttons and identify which button you are about to press. If remembering the different combinations of button presses is proving difficult, don’t worry. The Sena SRL-Mesh system features a voice activation system, meaning you can control your new Sena system with a voice command too! You can connect to your new Sena intercom to the Sena smartphone app (for iPhone and Android), making sure you stay connected and in control of your new Sena system.

With an operating temperature of between -10°C and 50°C and a talk time of 8 hours, the Sena SRL-Mesh Ext intercom system is ready to tackle the roads in both summer and winter and can easily be charged with the micro USB charge from flat battery to full battery in just 2 ½ hours.
