The Spada Nodachi looks as sharp as its namesake, with real world functionality and features wrapped up in a neat textile motorcycle jacket package with styling that's inspired by the winter action sports clothing.

The outer construction of the Spada Nodachi Jacket is a robust polyester hardshell, designed to withstand the intense friction of motorcycle accident scenarios and keep your skin safe from the road surface. Beneath the surface of the Nodachi jacket is a full suite of CE Level 2 armour found at the back, shoulders and elbows which helps to reduce the effect of the impact energy at these critical points. These armour pieces are fitted to dedicated armour pockets that feature a Velcro closure, meaning the armour is removable should you choose to. With the level of protection on offer, it's little wonder that the Spada Nodachi Jacket has received CE Level AA approval.

The exterior of the Spada Nodachi Jacket features a durable thermoplastic polyurethane liquid coating, which covers the entire exterior of this textile jacket to lock out the wet weather that you may find yourself expose to while riding. This has been coupled with waterproof taped zippers at the central closure zipper and zipped chest ventilation openings, to minimise any chance of water seeping through a zipped area. But don't just take Spada's word for it. The Spada Nodachi Jacket has been submitted to and passed EN 343 testing, which is a standard used in PPE testing for prolonged exposure to harsh weather conditions. This testing assesses the protection against rain and wind while maintaining breathability and comfort from the jacket.

Further weather protection comes in the form of an integrated hood, which can be packed away when riding and easily accessed when you reach your destination. The storm cuffs allow the rider to tuck the inner cuff into their glove before closing the outer cuff around the upper glove, locking in heat and locking out the moisture when riding in wet weather and cold weather situations.

The two chest vents feature a waterproof zipped closure, which when opened allows the rider to experience cool air flow into the jacket when riding. The rear of the Spada Nodachi jacket features ventilation openings that allow warm, stale air to escape from within the jacket for a complete cooling experience.
