The Sidi Mag 1 race boots are the next generation of serious, high-spec motorcycle boots. These boots are the result of years of Sidi testing and refinement - both in the lab, and in partnership with top MotoGP racers. The Mag 1 boots are lightweight, streamlined and offer a high level of communication and flexibility on the bike.

The Mag 1 boots have all of the protective features needed for track riding and pass the CE safety standards for motorcycle use, with a slimmer profile than the very similar Sidi Vortice boots. This is the boot that shows off Sidi's considerable experience and craftsmanship to the full.

The Sidi Mag 1 boots have been critically streamlined to reduce exterior, excess bulk. This weight-saving exercise has resulted in a boot that weighs 7 ounces less than the Sidi Vortice. The Mag 1 boots feature an internal carbon fibre support system, which enables direct contact between the riders leg and the side of the bike. This may not be a necessity for everyday street riding; but for more aggressive riding, a better feel on the bike is paramount. The front of the boot benefits from a breathable TPU section which allows great flexibility to accommodate gear changing.

As well as a lower weight than previous race boots, Sidi have provided a higher level of flexibility in the structure of the Mag 1 boots. The arch and back of the boot are constructed from an elastic textile to allow freedom of movement, with polyurethane 'ribs' for reinforcement. Inside the boots, there are two TPU bands which wrap around the boots for extra support. The calf area features advanced Tecno-3 Mag adjustment, to suit a wide range of calf sizes (up to 15 inches of adjustment).

The integrated armour of the Sidi Mag 1 boots has been improved and streamlined, to achieve excellent feedback whilst maintaining high levels of protection. For example, the shock absorbing heel cup tapers in as it reaches the inside of the boot. This allows uninterrupted contact with the body of the bike. The dual compound toe slider has a replaceable alloy insert for extra abrasion resistance and the gear change pad is reinforced with TPU. The large polyurethane shin plate has a lower profile whilst still providing maximum protection.

The importance of comfortable boots on the track is integral to racing performance. A comfortable rider benefits from increased focus and longer endurance. The Sidi Mag 1 boots give the rider that extra edge by ensuring superior comfort. To achieve this aim, the lining of the boot is constructed from perforated nylon and Cambrelle®, both of which are extremely comfortable fabrics. The lining is three dimensional, and allows the air to circulate within the boot, helping keep the feet cool. The liner also has moisture wicking properties, helping moisture and sweat to be drawn away from the foot.

The retention system of the Mag 1 boots features the latest technology from Sidi. The Tecno tensioner system (as found on the Vortice and other high-end race boots) has been upgraded. The new Tecno 3-Mag closure includes tiny magnets. These magnets simply assist in the location of the fastener and make the tightening of the boot much faster and more simple to do with one hand - the magnets are not part of the actual retention. Sidi have opted to use stainless steel for the Tecno 3-Mag tensioners, rather than nylon, for extra longevity and durability season after season.

The retention system is replaceable, as are many other parts of the Mag 1 race boots. These boots are not designed to last for just one season, or even three or four seasons - these are a truly long-lasting pair of race boots which should last for a very long time.

The sole of the Sidi Mag 1 boots is a rubber race sole, with removable arch support.
