The Sidi ST boots are a high-spec road / race boot at a great price point. The ST boots were born from Sidi's expertise and craftsmanship, which has been developed on the track and in the lab for over 50 years. Thanks to feedback from MotoGP riders and Sidi's own quality control, these boots are CE approved. This means that they have passed extensive cut, impact and abrasion testing. To pass these tests is a guarantee that that these boots offer effective, reliable protection, whether on the track or on the road.

The upper of the Sidi ST boot is made from Lorica®, which is a man-made material designed to perform even better than leather. This innovative material is abrasion resistant, water resistant and highly breathable. It is less liable to imperfections than traditional leather, and is used specifically for its strength, low weight and durability.

The Sidi ST boots include an on/off ventilation system, which allows air to flow into the boot and keep the rider's feet cool and comfortable. Warm air is expelled through a discreet rear vent behind the ankle zone. These boots draw in a substantial amount of air, which then circulates around the rider's feet thanks to the three dimensional Teflon mesh. The further benefit of an on/off vent is that it can be closed in cold or wet weather, to keep some warmth inside the boots and offer better protection from rain. These features of the ST boots all work together to ensure optimum comfort, for better focus on the track or on the road.

The Sidi ST boots, though suitable for road riding, are full race boots. They are guaranteed to stand up to hard riding, with a great deal of external protection and a solid construction. The fully functional exoskeleton provides a tough, durable 'brace' that provides the lower leg with both medial and lateral support. This hinged 'brace' system allows the required range of movement, but limits hyperflexion. The gear change area is protected by an external, thermoplastic pad, which protects the top of the foot (and the toes) from the action of gear changing.

The ST boots are built to last, with a replaceable heel cup and toe slider. When these high-impact parts of the boots wear down, there's no need to write off the boots themselves. These boots are intended to be a solid, reliable part of the rider's gear through many seasons.

The retention of the ST boots is in the form of a zipper and two cam-lock buckles. These cam-lock buckles originate from the off-road world, and are a tough and reliable form of retention. Cam-lock buckles are favoured for their quick action and long life-span. On first use, the adjustment of the buckles is set, ready to be locked into place each time. The mouth of the boot opens up extremely wide when the buckles and zip are undone, meaning that putting on and taking off the ST boots is easy and quick. The zipper sits in an elasticated panel, which allows a small degree of flex for a comfortable fit.

The Sidi ST boots have a durable, dual compound rubber sole, which offers all the support, grip and feedback expected from a high-spec race boot.
