A MaxTex textile construction offers a robust outer construction, focusing on comfort and durability for many miles of comfortable and enjoyable riding. This MaxTex construction is highly abrasion resistant by nature and is further reinforced with a Ballistic textile material to further the resistance to intense friction that may be experienced in a slide across the road’s surface. The included TPU cups found at the knees are the same as those used by RST on their high-end one-piece racing suits and help to create a low friction point to keep your body moving when travelling at speed, limiting the dangerous snatch-and-grab effect when textile meets tarmac that can lead to further injuries.

For your protection, the RST Ranger trouser includes CE approved armour at the knees and hips as standard. The CE Level 2 armour is fitted to dedicated pockets to ensure that the impact protection remains in the correct place when it is needed most. These pockets feature a Velcro closure, making the armour removable if you choose to.

Pairing perfectly with the jacket, the RST Ranger Textile Trouser features no built-in waterproof membrane but a lightweight laminated waterproof overtrouser. This laminated waterproof overtrouser is stretchy in its construction and offers a superb level of waterproofing, ensuring that you and your base layers remain dry when you reach your destination. These waterproof overtrousers roll up into a small size, making them ideal for storing under a seat, in a rucksack or in your luggage for easy access when you need it most.

These textile touring trousers from RST also feature a quilted thermal membrane, offering an extra layer of insulation when the temperatures drop or when you’re touring through cooler climates. This thermal membrane is removable, furthering the versatility of the garments and allowing the rider to tailor their RST Ranger trousers to suit their needs quickly and easily. When the thermal liner is absent, a lightweight mesh interior lining helps to stop the textile material clinging to your skin and allows for better circulation of air within for a more comfortable riding experience.

With the thermal lining removed, riders are free to make the most of the ventilation opening within the RST Ranger trousers. These large capacity thigh vents are backed with a mesh material which features large holes to help channel cool air directly into the trouser as you ride, ideal in the summer months and touring in warmer countries.

Storage opportunities are essential in any motorcycle touring trousers, which is why the RST Ranger Trouser includes two zipped hip pockets for light essentials along with twin cargo pockets with a box top closure to help keep your belongings safe when out on the road. The trousers also feature a lower leg expansion area, designed to help accommodate larger motorcycle touring boots and adventure motorcycle boots too. You’ll also find an included carabiner clip, perfect for attaching your keys to so you don’t lose them amongst your luggage or in one of your many pockets.
