A MaxTex textile construction offers a robust outer construction, focusing on comfort and durability for many miles of comfortable and enjoyable riding. This MaxTex construction is highly abrasion resistant by nature and is further reinforced at the shoulders and lower arms with a Ballistic textile material to further the resilience to intense friction that may be experienced in a slide across tarmac.

A high-end motorcycle jacket requires top tier protection, which is why the RST Ranger Jacket features a suite of CE Level 2 armour as standard. Not only will you find the CE approved armour pads at the back, shoulder and elbows but also chest protection as standard for a level of protection not found in many motorcycle jackets. This armour is fitted to dedicated pockets to ensure that the armour remains in the right place when it is needed most and can be at its most effective. These armour pockets feature Velcro closures, making the armour removable if you choose to.

A waterproof element is an absolute must in any textile touring jacket, and many choose to incorporate a waterproof interior membrane into directly into the jacket, be this as a fixed or removeable waterproof membrane. However, this can lead to a reduction in the effectiveness of the venting and the hassle at the side of the road refitting your waterproof membrane into your jacket when caught in the worst of the weather, leaving you with damp base layers to continue your journey in. The RST Ranger Jacket does things differently.

Instead of finding a fixed waterproof or removable interior waterproof membrane, the RST Ranger Jacket features a standalone laminated waterproof membrane utilised as an overjacket. This laminated waterproof overjacket is included with your purchase of the RST Ranger Textile Motorcycle Jacket and is stretchy in its construction, ensuring that your natural range of movement can be achieved so that you don’t have to sacrifice your comfort for waterproof protection. The laminated construction offers the best in waterproof motorcycle jacket technology and is easily stored in the rear pocket of your RST Ranger Jacket for quick access to waterproofing when you need it.

A similar approach has been taken with the thermal membrane within the RST Ranger Jacket. The Ranger textile jacket features a standalone quilted internal destination jacket which is full length in its construction and offers a superb amount of warmth while riding your bike and while exploring your destination when you arrive. This thermal lining features RST branding for instant recognition amongst other motorcyclists and helps insulate you when off your bike. Multiple adjustment opportunities on the Ranger Textile Jacket allow the rider to tailor the fit and feel of the jacket to suit their unique body shape, with or without the additional standalone thermal liner.

With no fixed waterproof membrane, the RST Ranger Jacket flows an incredible amount of air without restriction or interference from such membranes. Large capacity chest area vents combined with long length arm ventilation openings and upper shoulder vents help to channel a huge amount of air into the jacket when riding, a welcomed feature for summer bikers and those who enjoy cross continental touring. Additionally, two long length zippers at the rear of the jacket coupled with two smaller zipped vents at the rear of the arms allow warmer air that has built up within the jacket to easily escape for a complete cooling experience.

Two large box pockets as well as internal pockets offer plenty of storage opportunities when travelling, while two fleece lined handwarmer pockets make sure a cosy place to keep your hands after travelling in cooler temperatures. Four interior pockets offer event greater storage potential and the rear map pocket can be quickly and easily removed and turned into an RST bum bag for carrying your essentials when you reach your destination.
