If you enjoy the freedom of an open face helmet, but value the protection of a full-face helmet, it can be difficult to find a balance. The HJC i100 offers the best of both worlds in a smart, flip front sports touring helmet.

The HJC i100 is created in an advanced polycarbonate construction, offering a great level of protection from the outset by absorbing impact energy before it reaches your head within. The shell features aerodynamic design channels, helping air flow easily and efficiently over the helmet while riding which reduces fatigue at the neck and wind noise when travelling at speed. The HJC i100 is offered in three shell sizes, delivering a truly exceptional fit without any unnecessary padding.

The party piece of this flip front helmet is the chin bar. Flip front helmet traditionally stop their rotation at the top of the helmet, which means the chin bar area acts a sail, disturbing the aerodynamic profile of the helmet. The HJC i100 rotates the chin bar to the rear of the helmet, opening the front of the helmet for a feeling akin to a traditional open face helmet. This chin bar can be locked into place easily with a simple sliding mechanism, meaning that the helmet can be legally ridden in the open face position provided that this locking mechanism has been used.

Thanks to the flip back chin bar, the helmet can be used in a variety of configurations; a traditional full face helmet, a sports styled open face helmet and an open face helmet with full length clear visor. This clear visor is Pinlock ready and the Pinlock anti-mist insert included as standard with your purchase, helping to reduce the fogging of the visor when riding in a traditional full-face configuration.

A drop-down interior sun visor helps to further the comfort in this flip front helmet, as well as maximising your safety by reducing the effects of sun glare. The sun visor is easily operated with a sliding mechanism at the base of the helmet.

Ventilation is important in any motorcycle helmet. The HJC i100 utilises the Advanced Channelling System (ACS), designed to flow cool air directly into the helmet while riding. In addition to front facing ventilation openings, you’ll also find rear exhaust ventilation areas designed to help pull warm, stale air out of the helmet for a complete cooling experience.

The HJC i100 features a removable washable lining, allowing you to easily remove and clean the interior linings to prolong the fresh new helmet feeling. The interior of this helmet also features speaker recesses to accommodate your Bluetooth intercom system as well as a glasses groove to accommodate your eyeglasses or sunglasses without interruption.
