The first ECE 22:06 flip front helmet has arrived! The AGV Tourmodular is, as the name suggests, a modular helmet designed to cover thousands of miles in complete comfort.

Passing the ECE 22:06 requirements is no easy feat, but the new AGV Tourmodular passes them with ease while remaining supremely comfortable and performing perfectly on every ride. AGV have subjected the Tourmodular helmet to the highest degree of testing and scrutiny to surpass your expectations in modular helmets.

A tri-composite construction utilises carbon fibre, fibreglass and aramid fibres to create a lightweight, strong and abrasion resistant outer shell for safety and performance. AGV’s design team spent a great amount of time developing this outer shell for the very best in aerodynamics, which in turn offers greater comfort when riding and less noise being transferred to the inside of the helmet when riding. This aerodynamic profile also reduces the weight of the dynamic weight of the helmet to zero when riding at motorway speeds, lending further performance and comfort to touring riders everywhere.

This high strength outer shell is offered in three shell sizes, ensuring a great fit for each shell size with no unnecessary padding for your riding comfort. The protective elements within the AGV Tourmodular helmet include a multi-density EPS lining, which is designed to cushion your head from a variety of different impacts and keep your head completely protected should the worst occur.

This flip front motorcycle helmet is dual homologated, which means that the helmet is legal to use in the full-face configuration and legal to ride in the upright open position if the lock is engaged. Regardless of whether you’re covering hundreds of miles in a day, or just commuting through the traffic on your way to work, versatility is key and the AGV Tourmodular is ready for the challenge. The chin bar features a simple pull catch system for its opening, and also features an additional cover to limit the chances of the chin bar being opened accidentally should you make contact with the road surface face first.

A clear outer visor is supplied as standard, and is almost 4mm thick in places to offer even greater protection when out on the road. Despite this, the visor is still Class 1 optically correct for increased visual quality and features an anti-scratch coating to further the lifespan of the visor for many miles of clear and comfortable riding. This visor also offers a 190° horizontal field of vision and the 85° vertical field of vision, for even greater views of the road than ever before! This visor also features the AGV patented locking mechanism for the visor, keeping the visor closed for a secure seal to limit wind noise into the helmet through the visor and keep the visor closed in the event of an accident.

You’ll also find a retractable interior sun visor within the helmet, easily operated with a small tab the lower left of the helmet for immediate protection from sun glare. This sun visor features an anti-scratch coating to further the lifespan of this visor, but should still be cleaned gently and handled with care.

Within the box, you’ll find a Pinlock Max Vision lens included in the box, which when fitted helps to reduce the fogging and misting up of your visor when riding in cooler riding conditions. You’ll also find a removable breath guard for your nose to help limit the fogging even further, along with a removable chin curtain to help limit wind entry into the helmet for a quieter ride.

A Shamilar and Ritmo interior lining is included to promote even greater comfort within the AGV Tourmodular, making this flip front touring helmet a welcoming place to spend the day in. A Shalimar fabric for the crown pad makes for a soft, gentle touch at the top of the head while the Ritmo fabric at the cheeks is soft, supportive and keeps your skin cool while riding. Thanks to various treatments applied to the interior fabrics, from anti-bacterial to microsense, the AGV Tourmodular is as comfortable as it is practical.

Four front facing ventilation openings allow plenty of direct cool air flow into the helmet, while the large rear exhaust vent allows the warmer stale air to efficiently exit the helmet easily. There are multiple channels in the EPS lining of the helmet to evenly distribute the air within the helmet for a truly refreshing ride.

The AGV Tourmodular is also optimised to accept the AGV Insyde communication system. This communication system, developed with intercom giant Cardo, feature mesh technology and integrates seamlessly into your new Tourmodular helmet. The AGV Insyde is available to purchase separately.

Finally, the AGV Tourmodular helmet closes with a hardwearing steel micrometric retention buckle for quick and easy fastenings, even with thicker winter gloves.
