First and foremost, your motorcycle clothing needs to be protective in the event of an accident. The Weise Ottawa Jacket features a very durable 600D outer construction, maximising the strength of the jacket with an abrasion resistant outer construction which can easily withstand the intense friction that you may experience in an accident. This jacket is double layered and double stitched in key areas to maximise the overall strength of the jacket, giving you complete peace of mind when riding.

Protection from impacts is crucial, which is why the Weise Ottawa Jacket features a five-piece armour set as standard. CE approved armour can be found at the back, shoulders and elbows, which help to dissipate the impact energy at these areas, protecting your bones and vital organs beneath should the worst occur. Passive protection comes in the form of reflective detailing, included to maximise your visibility when riding in the dark or in poor weather conditions.

If you’re riding all year round, chances are you’ll find yourself riding in some poor weather more than once. The Weise Ottawa Jacket features a waterproof breathable membrane which is microporous in its construction. This membrane features a vast amount of small holes, small enough to limit water entry past this membrane, but large enough to allow water vapour (sweat) to escape from within the lining to ensure that the jacket remains breathable. A large storm channel covers the full-length central zipper, preventing water entry past the central zipper to keep your base layers dry.

You’ll also find a removable thermal interior lining. This quilted thermal liner is full length is included to provide an additional layer of insulation at the whole of the body, keeping you warm in the coolest of conditions. This thermal lining is removable with simple zippers, allowing you to easily remove the thermal linings and stow it away in a rucksack or pannier for quick reattachment if the situation calls for it.

Ventilation openings found at the chest and upper arms help to channel massive amounts of cool air into the jacket while riding, perfect or summer riding. These front facing ventilation areas features waterproof taped zippers, helping to lock out moisture entry into the jacket when riding in poor weather conditions. You’ll also find exhaust ventilation areas at the rear of the jacket, helping the warmer air to efficiently exit the jacket while riding, as well as limiting the ‘inflation’ sensation which can occur with front facing vents only.

The waterproof zippers also extend to the outer pockets at the chest and the waterproof membrane is featured at the large outer box pockets, which help to expand the waterproof protection to your belongings too. Behind the box pockets lie fleece lined hand warmer pockets, the perfect place for your hands after a cold ride.

The inclusion of a waist adjustment belt with a Velcro fastening offers the rider the chance to tailor their new Weise Ottawa Jacket to suit their body shape, accommodate additional layers beneath the jacket or take up any excess space with the thermal lining removed. Further adjustments come at the biceps and forearms with press stud adjustments to help cinch in the arms of this textile motorcycle jacket.
