The Weise Marin jeans have been designed in Britain for the British motorbike rider with features that have been created to work for those who are mostly sports and/or touring bikers.

The outer layer of the jeans are composed of a thick, tough 600 denier polyester material which is durable to keep the rider protected against both abrasion and impact. Directly underneath the outer layer is an Isotex® waterproof, windproof and breathable lining which has been designed to keep water out so you remain warm, comfortable and dry, protecting you from the harsh effects of windchill and to ensure the material doesn't cling to your skin as you become warm from riding. The third, inner layer is a thermal quilted lining that has been added to the trouser to ensure that the rider is kept warm and insulated whilst out on their bike, this can be removed in warmer spring and summer months, creating a flexible and 4-season friendly jean. Although it isn't comfortable nor practical to wear the inner lining in the summer months, in the winter this offers additional abrasion protection, as the thicker the padding between the leg and the road surface in the event of an accident, the lighter the damage to the leg.

Further protection has been incorporated into the trouser design with the CE approved knee armour. The knee armour is in the form of two pieces of abrasion resistant padding that are thick and tough yet supple as they are able to slowly mould to the shape of your knee as you wear them over time. The armour can be fitted into the two knee pockets which are already sewn into the inner lining of the trouser and kept secure with a Velcro® fastening. The knee is a highly vulnerable part of the leg whilst riding a bike and it's important to keep it protected, therefore we recommend wearing the armour at all times whilst riding, however, to ensure they retain their protective element they should be removed from the trousers before washing.

An exclusive feature of the Marin Jeans is the braces. The two material braces are a highly functional aspect of the design and they can be adjusted to fit the rider, working to keep the trousers snug and comfortably fitted, and where necessary, removed completely. The small adjustable buckles have been intentionally designed with plastic to prevent them from scratching the bike's tank as the rider leans forward.The rear of the braces have been designed with a slight raise to cover the lower back (see 'image' above) to provide slight back support to the wearer and to offer additional weather protection.

The thigh vents have been designed as a cooling function during summer riding, as air can enter through the vent, circulate and draw warm air away from the skin, with waterproof zippers that complement the waterproof inner of the trousers, and to ensure when the vents are closed, no water will seep through.

The waist has an adjustable velcro™ retained twin belt system to ensure a comfortable fit along with a zipper and popper/press stud closure to ensure the waist is fitted and that the fastening remains safely closed whilst riding. The popper/press stud has been covered with a rubber outer to prevent the metal popper from scratching the bikes tank.

The trousers are designed to be functional and comfortable to ensure the rider isn't distracted or stressed with any levels of discomfort during the ride. This has been enhanced with small areas of material that include a stretch function just above and behind the knee to aid both flexibility and movement.

The Marins also have two concealed external pockets positioned on the thighs to be used for convenience when out on a ride, they can be used to store money and credit cards to be easily reached when accessing toll roads etc. They are also fitted with a waterproof closure and YKK™ zippers to ensure your belongings remain dry and securely kept inside a pocket when out on a ride.

Finally, the lower back of the trousers has an 8 inch zipper function which allows you to attach the trousers to a Weise jacket to keep the trousers and jacket securely attached to one another, and to create a secure layer of insulation.
