The V-Strom 650XT has had a makeover. Suzuki have innovated once again with a brand new V-Strom design, consistent across the whole range. Tying in with the larger capacity V-Strom 1000, this revamped 650cc adventure bike celebrates Suzuki's off-road racing heritage. Tougher, adventure-focused styling with a distinctive 'beak' combines with new colours, streamlined bodywork and new technology.

For the XT version, Suzuki have generously equipped the bike with extra adventure accessories. Knuckle guards protect your hands from bad weather, keeping them comfortable in all conditions. Lower cowling shields the engine and underside of the bike against dust, debris and grime. Wire-spoked wheels absorb some shock from the road, giving you and your passenger a more comfortable ride.

Suzuki have smartened up the V-Strom 650's silhouette with cleaner lines and a slimmer profile. The V-Strom 650XT celebrates in style with anodised wheel rims. A newly designed windscreen has been crafted to control airflow and improve comfort on long rides.

This next generation V-Strom 650XT is powered by a well balanced, capable engine with a broad spread of power and torque. Mid-to-high range power has been boosted for a more exciting, sportier ride. Though the engine has been extensively revised, it retains a distinctive V-Twin character and low fuel consumption. A 20L fuel tank allows you to go further between fuel stops.

Like its larger capacity relatives, the V-Strom 650XT now features the new Suzuki Easy Start system. This allows you to start the engine quickly and easily, with just one push of a button. The Low RPM Assist function optimises performance at low engine speeds, preventing sudden engine stalls and helping you navigate stop-start traffic.

Every detail is geared towards easier, more agile handling. The V-Strom 650XT is built around a light but rigid aluminium twin spar frame. A wide, flat seat guarantees long-lasting comfort for rider and passenger - whilst being sim enough at the front to reach the ground easily. Even the exhaust contributes to better handling, with a lighter design than ever before.

The V-Strom 650XT is built to handle a variety of terrains and conditions. Adjustable rear suspension allows you to carry a passenger or luggage with ease. Twin disc brakes to the front and a single disc brake to the rear work with ABS to ensure responsive stopping in all conditions. Improved traction control monitors the whole bike to optimise road holding. Mode 1 gives a sportier ride feel, and Mode 2 supports you in tricky, wet or slippery conditions.

Finishing off the V-Strom re-design are stacked headlights, shared with the V-Strom 1000. These are now brighter and more effective for lighting your way in low visibility. A comprehensive digital instrument panel includes: analogue tachometer, gear position, speedometer, odometer, twin-trip meter, clock, fuel level, coolant and ambient temperatures, battery voltage, fuel range, fuel consumption and traction control modes.
