The Gavia Gore boots are fully waterproof, protective and comfortable touring boots, with premium Gore-Tex® technology at an affordable price. The smart, streamlined design focuses on flexibility and fit, for greater comfort over long distances.
Sidi have built the Gavia boots from advanced 'full-grain' microfibre. Just as robust and abrasion-resistant as leather, this material offers several advantages. It holds its shape over time, doesn't need 'breaking in' and resists extreme temperatures. It's also breathable and water-resistant, providing a first layer of weather protection.
Complete waterproofing is guaranteed by the inner Gore-Tex® membrane. This membrane is also breathable, allowing sweat to evaporate out and keeping you dry and comfortable. Gore-Tex® is the highest standard in waterproofing, used only in the best quality motorcycle boots. The Gore-Tex® liner extends up almost the entire length of the boot, giving you superior protection from changeable weather when touring.
In terms of protection, the Gavia Gore boots perform just as well as some of their higher spec counterparts. They have achieved CE certification after passing extensive cut, impact and abrasion testing, giving you peace of mind on the road. Protection includes layers of shock-absorbing padding to the shin and a reinforced gear shift pad to protect this high-stress area. The ankle is protected by both external PU armour and internal foam layers.
A flexible, comfortable boot is essential over long distances, and Sidi have designed the Gavia Gore boots with this in mind. Accordion flex zones to the front and rear of the boots give you freedom to move, making riding easier but also making it more comfortable to walk around when you stop for a break. An elastic panel next to the zip reduces pressure around the ankle, and allows you to take the boots on and off more easily.
The Gavia Gore features a robust, non-slip rubber sole that helps you keep a good grip on the footpegs in all weather conditions. This is reinforced by a nylon innersole and removable arch support for extra comfort. The retention system on the Gavia Gore boots uses a zip for quick and easy on and off, with a Velcro panel to protect your bike from scratches and keep the zip securely closed.
