The cowhide leather outer of the RST S1 Leather Jacket offers unparalleled abrasion resistance in an accident scenario, giving you complete peace of mind when out on the road. This leather is dual layered in key areas and stitched with a bonded nylon thread to offer even greater abrasion resistance and seam strength, eliminating the chances of a blowout that may leave your skin exposed to the road surface. With characteristics like these, it’s little wonder that this leather motorcycle jacket has achieved the triple A certification rating in CE testing, the highest possible attainable standard.

Beneath the leather outer lie dedicated armour pockets, which house CE approved armour at the elbows and shoulders as standard. You’ll also find a pocket which can be used to house a CE approved back protector should you choose to upgrade your new RST leather jacket. The inclusion of colour matched TPU shoulder cups helps to create a lower friction point for riders when sliding, but also help to finish off the factory rider look.

Despite the amount of protection elements in place, the RST S1 leather jacket is brilliantly comfortable. Designed with the Sport Fit profile, the RST S1 Leather Jacket focuses on the ergonomics of the rider, and has included features such as the four way stretch materials found on the jacket, as well as accordion stretch panelling at the elbows and shoulders, offering an unrestricted range of movement when riding. This freedom of movement helps the versatility of the RST S1 jacket and makes it usable across multiple riding disciplines, from sports bike riders to dual sport riders. Plus, the inclusion of a Velcro adjustment at the waist allows the rider to tailor the fit and feel of the new RST S1 leather jacket to suit their body shape. As an additional comfort, the S1 leather jacket uses a neoprene race style cuff, helping to maximise comfort by minimising irritation at a key area.

Ventilation is important within any jacket, particularly when riding in warmer climates or on sunny afternoons. The inclusion of perforated panel ventilation at the upper chest, upper arms and lower back help cool air enter the jacket when riding while letting warmer, stale air efficiently exit the jacket. The inclusion of a fast-drying mesh interior lining helps the air circulate within the jacket, cooling you as you ride and helping limit the sticky feeling when riding on hot summer days.

Beneath the leather exterior of the jacket is a diamond quilted thermal gilet, offering insulation when riding in cooler weather. The thermal gilet is easily removed from within the jacket when the temperature starts to rise and can be easily reattached when the situation calls for it. It is also small enough to fit in your rucksack or panniers! The thermal lining also features two internal pockets, helping to store your essentials when out on the road, in addition to the two zipper external pockets.
