Engineered for all day comfort, the HJC RPHA 91 Carbon takes everything that made the HJC RPHA 90 such a success and refines it further, delivering a flip front motorcycle helmet that is as capable at crossing continents as it is commuting to work, all in complete comfort.

The Premium Integrated Matrix Evo Carbon outer shell boasts a multi-layer carbon fibre composite outer shell, designed to help reduce the effects of a variety of impacts while retaining a lightweight nature for a comfortable and enjoyable riding experience. This, along with the multi-density EPS, helps keep you safe should the worst occur and easily meets the criteria required for the latest ECE 22:06 helmet standards. As with many of HJC’s helmets, the RPHA 91 Carbon is wind tunnel tested for improved aerodynamics and a quieter ride, leaving you to enjoy your favourite roads in peace.

The chin bar mechanism has been redesigned to help keep the helmet slim, compact and quiet, with reduced wind noise and air drag. The way in which this flip front helmet’s chin bar rotates has also been addressed thanks to feedback from the users of the previous RPHA 90 helmet. The RPHA 91’s chin bar sits significantly lower and closer to the helmet when riding in the open position, reducing wind noise and drag when riding for even greater comfort.

With two large front facing intake vents, the HJC RPHA 91 Carbon channels cool air directly into the helmet while you ride. The large chin vent helps to bring cool air into the helmet across the visor to help with demisting, while the sizeable crown vent brings air into the helmet to cool your head while you ride and channel the warm air out through the multiple exhaust vents found at the rear of the helmet. New for the HJC RPHA 91 Carbon are two brow vents featured above the visor which open and close with easy to locate sliders. These brow vents further the intake ventilation into the helmet for even greater airflow, a welcomed feature with touring riders and summer bikers.

The new HJC RPHA 91 Carbon helmet features a clear outer visor as standard with an anti-scratch treatment to help prolong the lifespan of your visor, granting clearer vision for longer. This visor is also Pinlock ready and features a Pinlock 120 insert included in the box as standard. The insert is easily fitted to the visor and helps prevent the misting of the visor for a time, leaving you with uninterrupted vision of the road.

A retractable integrated sun visor is included to further your comfort and safety by shielding your eyes from bright sunlight while riding, and is easily deployed with a sliding mechanism at the lower left of the helmet. New for the HJC RPHA 91 Carbon, the position of the sun visor can be adjusted to suit your needs, moving the sun visor forward towards the chin bar of the helmet. This is done via a sliding toggle hidden beneath the left hand recessed cut out and moves the visor from its default position to 5mm further forward or 10mm further forward.

The interior of the HJC RPHA 91 Carbon isn’t just simple padding. The interior linings feature three-dimensional padding to offer the best in comfort and a snug yet comfortable fit. These pads feature an anti-bacterial treatment along with superior moisture wicking, drawing water away from your head when sweating and spreading this over a wider area for faster evaporation. The crown pad and cheek pads of the HJC RPHA91 are removable and washable, allowing you to prolong the fresh helmet feeling for longer. Two Wheel Centre recommends hand washing interior linings and allowing to dry naturally to avoid distortion or damage to your interior linings. The interior of the helmet also features recessed speaker pockets and recesses in the outer shell, designed to incorporate the latest in Smart HJC Bluetooth intercom kits.
