The outer construction of these Alpinestars sports boots is a combination of a technical synthetic textile microfibre material. This entails using multiple tightly woven strands of high strength fibres and weaving them into a material which mirrors its leather counterparts, without any of the imperfections that can occur with using a natural material such a leather. The result is a highly abrasion resistant outer construction that can easily withstand the intense abrasion that may be experience in a slide across the road surface. This outer material is PU coated for additional abrasion protection and weather protection, and is dual layered and double stitched in key areas for increased protection and friction resistance.

A padded shin area along with a reinforced toe box and heel cup help to cushion these key areas from a variety of impacts, helping limit impact energy transferal to within the boot in the event of an accident. A hardened toe overlay at the front of the foot provides additional covering here, protecting your toes from impacts and the intense friction that you may experience in an accident.

A hardwearing sole features deep grooves for greater grip when walking around off the bike as well as increased grip at the pegs when riding over longer distances. The Alpinestars RT-8 Gore Tex Boots also features the Transveral Protection Frame, which increases the protection for your feet without interfering with the comfortable nature of these Gore-Tex motorcycle boots.

Thanks to the use of official Gore-Tex in the Alpinestars RT-8 Gore-Tex Boots, soggy socks are not something you’ll be concerned about, regardless of how many miles of wet weather riding you do. The Gore-Tex membrane within the boots consists of over 1.4 billion microscopic pores per square centimetre; to put that into perspective, these pores are 20,000 times small than a water droplet but 700 times larger than water vapour molecules. This means that you can ride through the worst weather that mother nature decides to throw your way without the risk of the water soaking through to your socks, yet still letting perspiration escape from within the boots to maximise the fresh feeling when you arrive at your destination.

The RT8 Boots feature a traditional zipper opening with a Velcro wing cover to protect your bike from scratches. The zipper features a Velcro tab, which fixes easily to the Velcro wing to help keep the zipper in a closed position for additional security. As with Alpinestars high end motorcycle boots, the RT-8 Gore Boots feature a fixed interior lacing system with a speed lace fastening. This lace system helps to provide a great amount of support for your feet, ensuring that your feet aren’t thrown around inside the boot in the event of an accident.
