The same technology used by AGV’s racing team in motorcycle racing series' across the globe, including the MotoGP, is now available to you.

As part of AGV’s development process, careful consideration needed to be made regarding safety standards. In months past, the FIM have deemed that current motorcycle racing helmets do not conform to their strict safety standards, ushering in a new era in motorcycle helmet safety. The FIM safety standard for motorcycle helmets includes tests greater than any testing standard including ECE, DOT and Snell. The new FIM standard tests sixteen points across the helmets including multiple penetration tests as well as tests for rotational energy too, which is deemed to be as much of a safety concern as impact energy. After all shell sizes were submitted for FIM Standard Testing, the new AGV Pista GPRR was found to be 33% safer than that of the current standard, providing not only the best in safety now but also in the future, where safety standards may increase further. As an additional bonus, the new AGV Pista GP-RR also easily meets to new ECE 22:06 standards for your peace of mind.

Developed in four shell sizes in 100% Carbon fibre with a five-density EPS liner in each helmet, protection levels within the AGV Pista GP-RR are second to none. Aggressively styled, the long AGV Pro Spoiler is designed to perfectly channel fast flowing air over the helmet and down the riders back when riding in tucked position, creating a perfectly aerodynamic profile when racing. A wide visor aperture ensures maximum visibility regardless of what position you are riding in with a massive 85° vertical field of view and 190° horizontal field of view. Pure interrupted vision with a 5mm thick anti-scratch Pinlock ready visor with Max Vision Pinlock Insert included as standard means that even when you’re in the thick of it on race day, your vision won’t be impaired. Plus with AGV’s patented visor lock system you can be sure of a tight visor seal as well as peace of mind that your visor won’t open should the worst occur on track.

Ventilation is important in any helmet, none more so than race helmets; that’s why the AGV Pista GP-RR features massive amounts of ventilation, designed to effectively channel air into the helmet and even distribute it, not just allow air into the helmet. Three vents at the upper on the helmet and two lower vents allow for direct cool air flow into the helmet while two extractor vents at the rear of the helmet allow for warm, stale air to exit the helmet efficiently. Hydration is important when racing over prolonged periods of time in endurance racing or when riding to the limits in warmer climates. The AGV Pista GP-RR features an integrated hydration system, designed for ease of use and keep you refreshed while racing. The drinking tube weaves though dedicated channels in your cheek pads, delivering fluids from the camel back pouch to the rider. The hydration system in its entirety is included with the purchase of the AGV Pista GP-RR however, if you prefer to ride without this, the hydration system is entirely removable.

Premium grade fabrics and treatments are applied to interior of the new AGV Pista GP-RR to make the helmet the most inviting and comfortable environment for your head on race day. Well known materials such as Shalimar fabrics make an appearance here, offering a soft and comfortable fit that remains stable at high speed, making the interior plush and functional at high speeds. The three-piece crown pad is created in an elasticated microfibre, perfectly encapsulating the riders head for security as well as increased ventilation to the rider. All interior lining components are treated to ensure comfort and longevity; 2Dry is used for its superior moisture wicking properties while Microsense is used for its premium skin comfort. To top it all off, the linings are entirely sanitized with anti-bacterial protection, retaining that fresh helmet feeling for longer. Of course, all linings are removable and washable, allowing you to clean your helmet and ensure it is ready for race day.

Included accessories with the AGV Pista GP-RR included the aforementioned hydration system complete with camelback hydration pouch along with a pair of earplugs, small blanking plates to cover the ventilation areas when riding in wet weather, a race tear-off kit for your visor and an interior customisation kit, with customisable padding for your new helmet at the top crown pad, rear crown pad and cheek pads, allowing you to tailor your new AGV helmet to your head shape to ensure the best possible fit for you. Even fastening the AGV Pista GPRR has been carefully considered by AGV, with the use of a titanium Double D ring closure system, ensuring a strong secure fastening without adding unnecessary weight to the helmet.
