The next generation of RST Pro Series textile jackets, the RST Pro Series Paragon 6 textile jacket is everything that you need in a textile motorcycle touring jacket. Waterproof, thermal lined, ventilated, adjustable… Whatever you’re riding, wherever you’re riding, the RST Paragon Jacket will take you there and relish the challenges too!
Achieving a CE rating of AA, the Paragon Jacket is created in a heavy duty MaxTex outer with the inclusion of Ballistic textile material. This offers a flexible outer material for ultimate rider comfort combined with incredible abrasion resistance for your safety and peace of mind. Faith in your equipment is key to confidence when riding and the RST Paragon 6 Jacket gives you the confidence in every corner. Hidden beneath the surface are dedicated armour pockets that house CE approved Level 1 armour at the back, shoulders and elbows as standard, ensuring you’re protected from impact should the worst occur. Passive protection comes in the form of Reflex piping and additional reflective detailing around the exterior of the jacket, improving your visibility when riding at night or in poor weather conditions.
When touring on your motorcycle, protection is important including protection from the elements. RST have you covered, thanks to the inclusion of a SinAqua Pro waterproof breathable membrane that is fixed to the RST Paragon Jacket. This waterproof membrane offers greater water resistance than a standard SinAqua waterproof membrane while retaining the breathability of the membrane. This allows water vapour (sweat) to escape from within the garment, maximising the fresh feeling when you arrive at your destination. In addition to this, the RST Paragon jacket also features a DWR treatment; the Durable Water Resistant treatment allows water to bead up and effortlessly roll away from the outer material, providing an even greater defence against the elements. No matter how wet it is outside, your base layers won’t be.
In addition to a waterproof lining, the RST Paragon jacket also features a full length 300g quilted thermal lining. Quilted on both side, this thermal lining spans the full length of the jacket as well as the full length of the sleeves, offering an effective form of insulation when the temperature drops. This thermal lining is easily removed from within the jacket as the summer rolls around, and easily stored in your luggage or rucksack to be reattached when the situation calls for it.
The inclusion of multiple ventilation points throughout the jacket ensure maximum cool air flow into the jacket when riding. Twin vents at the chest can be held open with the popper studs to offer maximum ventilation into this area. You’ll also find twin upper chest vents, upper arms vents and two large rear exhaust vents to help the warm air escape from within the jacket. These ventilation points are easily opened and closed thanks to a simple zip operation, with rubberised grips pullers making it easier to operate with wet hands if it’s raining. Thanks to the aforementioned SinAqua Pro waterproof drop liner, even if you get caught in the worst of the weather you can leave the vents open, helping keep you both cool and dry. In the RST Paragon 6 Textile Jacket, you can have your cake and eat it!
Comfort is king in many motorcycle jackets, touring textiles or otherwise. RST included accordion motion stretch panelling at the back of the elbow as well as the upper shoulders at the rear of the jacket, ensuring that you are not restricted by the material makeup of the jacket, whether on the bike or off it. A neoprene comfort collar also helps reduce irritation at this area when traveling over longer distances, a welcomed feature for the touring biker. At the collar you’ll also find a throat coat, designed to keep wind-chill and precipitation entering the jacket, aiding further in keeping you warm and dry when out on your bike. This throat coat is removable thanks to an easy zipper system, giving you greater freedom in the winter. In addition to this, a hook at the collar allows the collar to be pulled to one side, allowing greater wind entry into the jacket in the summer!
Scattered around the RST Paragon Jacket are adjustment points to make life easier when tackling longer journeys. A Velcro waist adjustment belt allows you to tailor the jacket to suit your body shape and accommodate any additional layers that you might choose to wear underneath your jacket. A similar adjustment system can be found at the upper arm, with a popper closure adjustment at the lower arms. Further to this a zipped side gusset with a popper adjustment can be found at the lower sides of the jacket, offering even greater adjustment. These points allow the rider to tailor the fit and feel of this RST jacket, reducing billowing when travelling at speed, taking up the slack when the thermal linings is removed and offering a brilliant fit every time.
Going away for the weekend? Heading out on a sunny Sunday to somewhere new? You’ll be in need of storage space for all your essentials. Two outer cargo box pockets offer a secure place to store your essentials. Both of these pockets feature a waterproof zipper and roll over flap with Velcro security stops to ensure these don’t flap around in the wind, with pullers at the pockets for easy access. Behind these box pockets are zipped handwarmer pockets, fleece lined for the ultimate in comfort and convenience. At the rear of the jacket you’ll find a large capacity rear map pocket, complete with the same waterproof zipper and roll top flap for complete waterproofing, ensuring your essentials stay safe even if the heavens open.
Available in two colours and in a large size range, you’re sure to find the RST Paragon 6 Textile Jacket to suit you. Additionally, RST offer an airbag version of the Paragon 6 jacket for even greater protection. (Special order only)
