The Gore-tex membrane is not a coating or a treatment, nor is it an outer material or an inner lining, but rather the 'inner workings' of the boots. This membrane is incorporated between the inner and the outer lining. Gore-tex is extremely thin and is manufactured using a complex expansion process, ensuring this extraordinary material is not only wind and waterproof but is also breathable.
