The SHOEI Safety Concept: 'Deluxe safety'

The SHOEI Safety Concept (SSC) surpasses statutory safety standards by far. It was developed to ensure both maximum head protection and optimum wearing comfort. A relaxed, comfortable rider makes for an important contribution to the overall saftey whilst riding. This is why the SHOEI Safety Concept addresses both passive and preventative protection.

The Multitec's sporty shell has been subjected to comprehensive tests. The spoiler on the rear of the helmet ensures balanced airflow, even at high speeds. Noise is markedly reduced by the silent design, with a minimised gap between the helmet and the chin section to ensure the flush fit of the CX-1V visor to the double visor seal.

The Multitec is optimally ventilated by three air inlet vents on the chin and three on the brow, as well as two outlet ducts on the neck, that discharge used, warm air.

The 360 degree pivot locking system locks the Multitec's chin section into place when the helmet face shield is lowered, making it extremely safe. The pin is made of solid steel. When the face shield is closed, the solid metal closure automatically encases the pin, unlike conventional designs where the pin is merely held in place by an open recess.

The 'Whisper Strip Kit' and chin curtain (supplied with the helmet) in conjunction with the new neck pad design, makes the Multitec even quieter.

The cheek pads, which are available in 7 different sizes and the chin strap cover, are removeable and washable.

The helmet liner also has an intercom recess and a spectacle groove can be found in the cheek pads. All of which amount to superior wearer comfort.
