RoadLoK is an exciting new Thatcham approved security device for your bike.
When engaged, RoadLoK prevents any rotation of the motorcycle's front wheel.
Here's how it works:
The facts
36 bikes are stolen every day in the UK.
Of those, 72% are simple, opportunist roll-away theft. It could be your bike, and it could be so easily prevented.
Standard disc locks stop people from rolling your bike away, but they don't stop them from trying. This means you could still come back to an expensive mess.
Standard disc locks allow you to ride off, unaware of the damage you are about to cause. You could damage your mudguard, caliper and discs without even dropping the bike. If you drop the bike, you risk greater damage and maybe even injury to yourself.
With a RoadLoK fitted, your bike cannot fall victim to opportunist roll-away theft, and you cannot ride off without removing the lock. Your bike will simply stall. No damage, injury, drama and embarrassment.
More about RoadLoK
RoadLoK is a bike-specific device which is permanently mounted onto your front caliper. Once fitted (which takes a matter of minutes) the RoadLoK is ready for use.
All RoadLoK locking systems are Thatcham Approved* so you can expect a discount when you let your insurance company know you are using this device.
When you need to secure your bike, simply insert the sprung loaded pin into the RoadLoK and roll your bike forward an inch. This allows this pin to locate itself into one of the drilled holes in your disc. Location is confirmed by a distinctive 'click'.
Drop your clunky disclock into the bin, it's time to move on.

* Meets Thatcham approval i.e. passes their stringent quality and timed security testing which comes under their category MC3 for mechanical immobilisers, evaluation number: TMC3 323/1210.

Below are some of the most commonly asked questions about RoadLoK. If your question is not outlined, please contact us so that we can help you further.
Can anyone fit RoadLoK?
We recommend having your RoadLoK fitted by a qualified technician who is capable of understanding the braking system on your motorcycle. Please do not attempt to fit RoadLoK yourself unless you are fully aware of manufacturers' recommended thread depth penetration into the brake calipers and how to torque competently. Also, please note that whilst RoadLoK advise which spacers and bolts to use on your motorcycle, this is for guidance only and you should in fact follow the comprehensive fitting instructions included in the box in order to determine the correct spacers and bolts to use.
Can RoadLoK activate whilst I'm riding?
No. When correctly fitted, RoadLoK will not interfere with the braking of the bike or it's performance as a whole. The locking pin is not inserted when the bike is in motion, so there is no way the lock can activate when the bike is in use.
How can the £199.99 price tag be justified?
Very easily, actually! If a thief tries to steal your bike with a standard disc lock fitted, he could do a decent amount of damage (mudguard, caliper, disc) and then leave the repair bill for you. With a RoadLoK, the bike cannot roll an inch and thus, there is no damage.
Furthermore, anyone who has ever ridden off with their own disc lock still fitted knows the cost of such a repair bill, and the embarrassment that ensued. You could damage your mudguard, caliper or disc, and possibly even drop the bike and/or injure yourself.
Having a RoadLoK fitted eliminates this risk, and earns you an insurance discount too. When you think about it this way, the price of a RoadLoK doesn't seem unreasonable at all!
