Two Wheel Centre

So, I’m not exactly new it has to be said. I was employed mid-July (you must have spotted the blogs getting better from then on surely?) to help with internet problems and keep everything up-to-date, and am now pleased to tell you guys my contract has been extended – my job title too (don’t ask me to tell you what it is though, there’s way too many words).

Whenever you call Two Wheels to ask about products, order products or any other enquiries, it is normally the bubbly personality who is Aimee that answers the phone to you all. However we have now had a massive switch around in the office and Aimee is now needed downstairs, her obvious selling talents and customer contact perfect for selling bikes. So guess who now has her job? You’re right. Me. Little Jess as I’m called. Or J2OL by the shop guys..don’t ask.

My first job in customer service, quite daunting I’ve got say; but I’m ready for the challenge of keeping you all happy. I look forward to getting to know the regulars and helping however I can…but go easy on me please!

So now as I crack on with learning a whole new job, I endeavour to keep my blogs to you all coming daily no problemo. Only person who may have a problem now is Abi. I mean two Jess’ in the office has got to be confusing. Guess the name of little Jess will stick with me for a while longer yet..or J2OL.

23rd October 2011 proved an incredibly sad day for the motorcycle world.

Whilst participating in the Malaysian Moto GP, Italian Marco Simoncelli appeared to lose control of his Honda and consequently collided with fellow rider Colin Edwards and close friend Valentino Rossi. The injuries sustained from this tragic incident proved fatal, and he later passed away. Edwards and Rossi said to be completely devastated. Along with the rest of the world.

Condolences have been flooding in, dedicated to one of the biggest rising stars that the motorcycle world has experienced for some time. Tweets and Facebook messages expressing how their thoughts are with his family and friends have consumed Simoncelli’s private pages. Everyone is obviously deeply saddened and traumatised by this event. Fellow riders have also expressed their despair, not quite believing that this youthful, larger-than-life personality could be taken so suddenly; and at the tender age of just 24. Seen as a natural successor to Rossi, Valentino left the Sepang circuit too distraught to speak.

Now we at Two Wheel Centre would like to express how sorry we are for the loss of this talented guy. With an amazing career behind him and what could have been a potentially long lived one ahead, his memory is certain to not be forgotten easily.

RIP Marco Simoncelli (20/01/1987 – 23/10/2011)

A legend in the making.

Christmas is fast approaching and we know how hard it can be to source presents for our loved ones. So the guys and girls over at Two Wheels have got our thinking caps on and are trying to map all the possible ways of helping you out. Gift bags, discount cards and free Knox knee armour with our Draggin Jeans were all part of the brainstorm (you will be pleased to hear we have sprung into action) and then someone piped up what had to be the most simple idea of all. A gift certificate.

Available in many stores, gift certificates are a great treat for friends and family; and if a motorbike lover resides in your life, this is surely the perfect winter gift for them.

With amounts from £5 to £500 attainable which they can spend towards anything they desire instore or online, the options are limitless. It’s easy to purchase and you will receive a gift voucher code straight after your purchase of the gift card has processed.

Now that’s one person you can cross off your list, we’ll leave the hard decision of what to get the mother-in-law up to you!

Over 150 bikes were inspected at Brands Hatch this weekend, with over 10% of the machines being seized by police for being stolen previously.

As reported in MCN this week, specific police teams, including a police helicopter, rounded the race goers up to give their bikes a compulsory inspection to determine the previous history of the machine.

It soon became apparent to an unfortunate percentage of the racers that their bikes would not be coming home with them that evening, and indeed, neither would the money they have paid for the bike or additional race parts and tuning.

The action taken at Brands Hatch will no doubt send shivers up the spine of racers country wide, who innocently might not have bought their bikes either from a respectable source or with a successful HPI check.

But the seizure sends out a strong message to bike thiefs to tell them that the police are closing in on them.

Stronger still though is the message to buyers that you are responsible for what you buy.

All our used motorcycles for sale are successfully HPI checked to ensure they are genuine machines with no history of theft or accident.

Two Wheel Centre sponsored rider Taz Taylor had a whirlwind time at Brands Hatch this weekend.

Riding in the MRO Superteams Championship, which is for riders of 12-18 years, thirteen-year old Taz won all four 80cc classes.

Whats more, the races were run alongside the 125cc riders, where (on his 80cc bike) Taz still came third overall!

There is no denying that Taz Taylor has got serious racing talent….just imagine what the next 10 years could bring for our young star?

Having later taken to his new GP125 for a test run, Taz remarked that his 80 ‘feels like a toy’ in comparison. Taz’s dad, Shane, hinted that Taz might focus on aiming at BSB next year, and in preparation he may retire to practice on the GP125 for this season.

Exciting times ahead for Taz Taylor and Team Two Wheel Centre – watch this space!
