"Bought a set of these after trying Cold killers undergloves and oxford bone dry muffs. Given up completely on the undergloves and muffs.
The Gerbings are fantastic. I am using them wired to the bike, as I didn't buy the batteries (about £70 a pair). They are plenty hot enough on 50% setting and 75% has only been used when really cold (2 degrees). Tried them once on 100% when was really cold and felt hands getting really hot. Stupidly didnt pull over to change setting and ended up with red marks on my hands for a few hours after taking them off, so won't do that again without putting my undergloves on. Ironic would use the undergloves to stop my hands getting too hot from the direct heat!!
In terms of warmth they are undoubtedly the best thing I have used and would highly recommend them to anyone who uses the bike in the cold weather. Riding with freezing cold hands my concentration was on how cold they were, using these my concentration is fully on riding.
So far have been good in terms of waterproofing too, but they do need treating with Nicwax or similar.
The only slight problem is in terms of being organised in getting on the bike, as I need to remember to connect the lead in my jacket to the bike, then set the controller, do up my jacket and then connect the gloves.
